Re:Activate 2024
Re:Activate continues to grow and establish itself as an annual event. As it does we are working to establish protocols and understandings to make this event as safe as possible. We recognize that overnight activities and especially camping can often pose the greatest risks to young people and will continue to do our best to make all parties aware of these risks and mitigate accordingly. Please read over the following as an outline of some of those things that you need to be aware of:
Responsibility of Participating Churches:
1. Participation in event is approved by Church leadership.
2. Appropriate travel and medical consent forms for members of your group.
3. Parents aware of details and risk involved.
4. Sufficient supervision of at least 2 adult ministry personnel adequate to the number of youth attending.
5. All leaders trained in safe church, have been screened, referenced and agree to and adhere to ministry leaders guidelines and policies.
Re:Activate on site Safety:
1. Female leaders minister to young women, male leaders minister to young men.
2. Female and male youth not allowed in each other’s tents.
3. Youth may not leave site / events without signed parental permission.
4. 11:00 pm Curfew.
5. Information / Emergency Station available 24 hours.
6. Overnight security.
Re:Activate Live-it Events:
1. Attendance and off site travel recorded and copies of participants, location of events, contact numbers
2. Transportation drivers pre-approved professionally licensed, minimum 5 years experience and sufficient space for occupants.
3. Additional waivers for use with outside organizations.
4. Adequate supervision for each event.
